For riders who use a 750 for commuting, weekend roads, and occasional track days: where does the compromise work and where does it get old?

    It has enough midrange for street riding without the heat and tire appetite of my old literbike. The riding position is still the daily compromise.

    Insurance was closer to a 600 than a 1000 for me, but quotes vary wildly. Check before shopping.

    A taller screen and sensible luggage made weekends possible. I kept the engine stock and focused on suspension setup.
