When shopping used, can an owner or dealer confirm completed software campaigns and updates by VIN? What paperwork should come with the bike?

    My dealer printed the VIN service history and open campaigns. That was more useful than the seller saying everything was current.

    Keep receipts for annual service even when doing routine work yourself. Electronics updates still need dealer documentation.

    Check that both keys and the code documentation are present. Replacing missing electronic pieces can erase a good purchase price.
