A previous owner mixed several kinds of push rivets and bolts. I want to standardize everything during the next service. OEM hardware, quality kit, or quarter-turn conversion?

Smooth is fast enough.

OEM diagrams helped identify the missing collars and rubber well nuts. The collars matter because they stop bolts from crushing the panel.

I use labeled bags by panel and replace damaged clips with the correct diameter. Most universal assortments contain five sizes you never need and one you do.

Quarter-turn hardware is great for a track bike, but for street bodywork I prefer the original mounting design and a dab of silicone grease on rubber pieces.
